J-1 Intern & Trainee Program Overview

The Fast Track USA J-1 Intern & Trainee Program is administered by the U.S. Department of State with goal of allowing foreigners to come to the United States to gain exposure to U.S. culture and to train in their occupational field. Fast Track USA by Hosco, powered by ITN & Odyssey, provides international applicants with the opportunity to jump-start their hospitality careers with on the job training from American hospitality professionals.

The J-1 Hospitality Internships and Trainee programs can last a maximum of 12 months.

There are two important documents for your training:

  • DS-2019 Or “Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor (J-1) Status” is the official document that allows participants to seek an interview at the U.S. Embassy. Participants to Fast Track USA will receive their DS-2019 from Odyssey International Exchange.
  • DS-7002 – Or “Training/Internship Placement Plan” is a framework or summary of activities that you will have during your training program in the United States. The J-1 Intern/Trainee programs is a structured and guided work-based cultural exchange program. The DS-7002 is customized according to the participant’s profile and the Host Company’s training requirements.

     

The J-1 Program by Hosco, powered by ITN & Odyssey includes:

  • Eligibility check for the J-1 Visa Eligibility as per the current regulations of the U.S. Department of State
  • Pre-Screening Interview with a representative from ITN & Odyssey to ascertain English level and program expectations
  • Coordinate online interviews with potential Host Organizations
  • J-1 Visa Sponsorship filing and application
  • DS-7002 creation according to the Host Organization's specifications
  • DS-2019 Certificate of Eligibility
  • Medical insurance for the program duration
  • Preparation tips for your J-1 Visa interview at the U.S. Embassy
  • “Arrival Package” including information regarding your Host Organization, housing, and the local community
  • 24/7 support after arrival in the United States through Odyssey International Exchange

Program monthly salary: 2,500-3,000 USD

The stipend is paid on a bi-weekly basis.

Pricing of the program starts at 2,765 USD and increases depending on the length of your stay and the services included in the package.
Financing options are available for the participants and should be discussed during the selection process.
